Prep Girls Basketball: Eagles handle Edwards Co. at home

Lily Mosby had a double-double for Eldorado in a 47-36 Black Diamond Conference win over Edwards County Monday night at Duff-Kingston Gymnasium.

Mosby pulled down 16 rebounds in the win and dumped in 24 points as the Eagles improved to 11-7 overall and are now 3-2 in the BDC.

Emilee Sigler netted nine for Eldorado, while Adrianna Hendrix added eight points. Karis Lane rounded out the scoring for EHS with six points.

Isabel Shepherd had a team-high 16 points for Edwards County (6-12, 0-5), while Tara Michels and Lexi McKinney each scored seven points for the Lions. Caesyn Nelson tacked on three points, while Emmy Goering tossed in two points and Morgan Dardeen had a fourth quarter free throw.

Eldorado returns to the hardwood Thursday at Carmi-White County and will open play in the Lady Eagle Mid-Winter Classic on Saturday against Gallatin County at 10:30 a.m.

Carly Foster had a career-high 35 points and was a perfect 10-for-10 from the free-throw line as Gallatin County knocked off Hardin County 69-35 in Greater Egyptian Conference action Monday night.

Kenzie Russel tossed in 21 points, including 13 in the second half. Sidney Bickett and Andrea Blain each finished with five points for the Hawks.
