Prep Cross Country: Wildcats, Eagles make most of run at West Frankfort

Loren Whiting continues a strong senior fall with a 6th place showing Tuesday at the West Frankfort Invitational, finishing in a time of 17:28 for Carrier Mills-Stonefort.

Gabe Motsinger finished in a time of 21:57 for the Wildcats, placing 54th and Billy Lewis was 55th with a time of 21:57.

Tuesday was a personal best times for Whiting and Lewis.

For the Eldorado Eagles, they were paced by a 17th place finish from Bret Plunkett, who finished with a time of 18:02, while Chris Acheson was 56th, with a time of 22:15 and Brandon Burnett finished at the 22:44 mark for 57th place.

On the girls' side, Kim Acheson was 46th with a time of 26:40 and Grace Pena was 47th at the 27:17 mark.

Eldorado will run on October 8th at the Harrisburg Invitational at Southeastern Illinois Community College.
