Prep XCC: Wildcats run well out of gate
The Carrier Mills cross country team notched 147 team point at Norris City-Omaha-Enfield late last week as Justin Austin finished sixth overall for the Wildcats, crossing the line at 20:01.
Billy Lewis, who turned in a time of 22:26, finished 17th for Carrier Mills-Stonefort.
"I thought Justin and Billy ran well," CMSF head coach Mike Eisenhower said. "It was very hot and we are still working into shape. We only have one member that has ever ran before, so we are still trying to build our base up. It's just something that we have to keep working at it, but hey have had good attitudes so far and I am happy with that."
Keegan VanDyke finished 42nd with a time of 27:48, while Trenton Winchester was 45th, crossing the line at 29:21. Tristan Borum had a time of 31:03, for a 47th place finish, while Alex Peebles was 48th with a time of 31:31 and Kale Rister was 49th overall with a time of 31:38.
