Prep Girls Roundup: Harrisburg, Eldorado, Gallatin all pick up hardwood wins

Last time out against Massac County, the Patriots scored 72 points against Harrisburg and beat the Bulldogs by 26 points.

On Tuesday night, Harrisburg flipped the script and clamped down defensively in a 48-33 win at Davenport Gymnasium.

Sidney Neal led Harrisburg with 11 points and Chelsea Davidson also finished in double figures with 10 points.

Frankie Leigh Nicholes netted nine points for the Bulldogs, while Riley Harrison scored six points. McKenzie Smothers, Verhsay Guyton and Kailyn Moss all finished with four points.

Harrisburg shot 14-for-45 from the field, including a 4-for-17 clip from 3-point range and went 16-for-28 from the free-throw line.

The Bulldogs held Massac County to 11-for-42 shooting from the field and out rebounded the Patriots 27-18.

<b>Eldorado 43, Flora 35</b>

Lilly Mosby was one of two players to score in double figures as Eldorado picked up a 43-35 win over Flora Monday night in Black Diamond Conference action.

Mosby had a game-high 14 points, while Karis Lane tacked on 12 points in the win for the Eagles.

Adrianna Hendrick netted nine, while Alexa Haenel finished with five points. Emilee Sigler tacked on two points and Kylee Oglesby tossed in a first quarter free throw.

<b>Gallatin County 54, Wayne City 24</b>

Carly Foster and Kenzie Russell accounted for 46 points, each scoring 23 a piece as Gallatin County knocked off Wayne City 54-24 Monday night.

Aundreya Blain scored six points, four of which came in the third quarter, while Alyssa Henry tacked on two points.

Gallatin County (13-12) jumped out to a 12-3 lead and led 29-17 at halftime. The Hawks outscored Wayne City 10-3 in the third quarter to take a 39-20 advantage into the fourth quarter.
