Prep Hoops: Bulldogs put two on SIRR Ohio All-Conference

Benton, winners of this year's Southern Illinois River-To-River Ohio Division put three players in the All-Conference team and was joined by a trio of talent from both Massac County and Herrin, while Harrisburg put two on this year's All-Conference squad.

The Rangerettes landed Ensley Tedeschi, Braelyn Miller and Jacey Eubanks, while Massac County put Sophie Bormann, Elise Coakley and Addie Grower on the team and Herrin had Presli Barnes, Meghyn Blankenship and Jersey Summers.

The two representatives for Harrisburg were senior forward Chelsea Davison and junior guard Sidney Neal.

Tedeschi a 6-foot-1 junior who was recently named to the Associated Press All-State Honorable Mention Class 2A Team and the IBCA 2nd Team averaged 15.2 points and shot 44.5% from the field for the Rangerettes this past season and had 4.5 rebounds and 2.2 assists for a Benton ball club that went 24.5.

Miller kept pace with Tedeschi, averaging 10.2 points per game and led Benton with 6.5 rebounds per game. In addition, the 5-foot-8 junior forward had 2.2 steals and 1.1 assists per game, while shooting 38% from the field and 64% from the free throw line.

Eubanks had one of the best assists to turnover ratios under head coach Andy Sloan's regime at 1.42 per game. The 5-4 senior guard averaged 2 ppg and 3.7 rebounds per game, while shooting 31% from the field and 57% from the free throw line.

Davidson led Harrisburg with 11 points per game and 8.4 rebounds per game, to go along with 2.3 steals. Neal had 10.1 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 3.2 steals.

Benton went 9-1 in league play this past season, while Massac County was 7-3. Harrisburg finished third in the conference standings at 6-3 and Herrin was fourth at 5-4. Both West Frankfort and Murphysboro were 1-9.

Neither West Frankfort and Murphysboro had any players recognized on the All-Conference Team.
