Chester Memorial Hospital salutes its volunteers

April is National Volunteer Month, and Memorial Hospital of Chester is fortunate to have a dedicated group of volunteers who greet patients and visitors daily.

These friendly faces are invaluable to the hospital as they provide a personalized service, helping people find their way and directing them to where they need to be.

"Memorial Hospital is grateful for the time they dedicate to our facility and the assistance they provide to our guests. Patients enjoy seeing familiar faces from the community greeting them as they enter the hospital," CEO Brett Bollmann said as he thanked the volunteers at an appreciation event at the hospital on April 2.

The volunteers dedicate as few as four hours a month, but their engagement with visitors at the hospital makes an impression on those they assist.

Volunteers find benefits in the hours they choose to dedicate to Memorial as well. They enjoy the time spent in the public interacting with and helping people, and feeling a sense of purpose.

Memorial is proud to honor those who give so much of their hearts to our community and the betterment of our hospital.
