Extra charges being found in bank accounts

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Several people have reported to area banks extra charges to debit or credit cards from local fast food restaurants.

Banks are able to determine which charges are legitimate and which additional charges have been made in error. A woman who did not wish to provide her name reported about $90 in erroneous charges have been made in October to her bank account from her use of a debit card.

Members of the Daily Register/Daily Journal staff then checked their bank statements and also found questionable charges to their accounts from fast food restaurants.

Readers are encouraged to check their accounts and if there are charges in question to speak to their bank representatives to determine their validity.
