CGS musicians fare well at state IGSMA contest
In spite of having to compete virtually for the second year in a row, Chester Grade School musicians did an excellent job performing for the judges in the 2022 Illinois Grade School Music Association (IGSMA) Solo and Ensemble Contest last month.

Chester Women's Club members learn about Misselhorn Gallery
Following two months of canceled meetings due to COVID precautions, the Chester Women's Club held its regular monthly meeting Thursday, March 24, at the fellowship hall of the First United Methodist Church. Hostesses were Nancy Urquhart, Pam Sheely, Sandra Starr and Gwendy Garner, Chairman.

'Tuck Everlasting' opens next week at CHS
After numerous COVID setbacks, cast changes, and weather cancellations, the Chester High School stage production of "Tuck Everlasting" is ready to open next week. The show runs Thursday to Saturday, March 17-19, with performances at 7 p.m. nightly and a 1 p.m. matinee Saturday, March 19.

Benefit concert to aid St. Mary tornado relief
EXP Productions will hold a benefit concert Saturday, Jan. 15, at the Perry Park Center Theatre in Perryville in support of neighbors in St. Mary, Missouri, impacted by the Oct. 24 tornado, which ripped through the small community.
