High School and DMS Commencement Dates

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ The board approved the setting of the Middle School promotion ceremonies for Friday, May 22 and the high school commencement for Saturday, May 23, 2009 with both events being held at the Du Quoin State Fair's grandstand.

The board adopted the 2009-2010 school year calendar with school beginning with a Teacher's Institute on Friday, August 14, 2009 and the first day of student attendance being Monday, August 17, 2009. The tentative last day of student attendance would be Tuesday, May 25 with a Teacher's Institute concluding the school year on Wednesday, May 26, 2010.
