Prep Softball: Harrisburg hammers out 15 hits in win over Century

Harrisburg pounded out 15 hits on the day in beating Century 13-0 in prep softball action Monday afternoon.
The Bulldogs improve to 19-7 overall, while Kerrigan Payne picked up the win in the circle. The senior went four innings and faced 13 batters, striking out seven and allowing just one hit.
Hallie Boggess came on to pitch one inning and finished with one strikeout.
At the plate, Abby Stacey and Sidney Neal paced the Bulldogs as each had 4-for-4 performances.
Neal cranked out a gran slam in the second inning, ending her day with 4 RBI, while Stacey had a two-run home run in the third inning, while also finishing with four RBI.
Kinzleigh Smothers was 2-for-2, while Kaylee King went 2-for-4. Payne had a 2-for-3 day and Joey Quinn was 1-for-4.
Harrisburg will now host Johnston City on Wednesday and will close out the week at home against Vienna on Friday.
