Prep Baseball: Flora walks-off Eldorado for Black Diamond victory

A walk-off left Eldorado on the wrong end of a 4-3 defeat to Flora late last week.

The game was tied at three with Flora batting in the bottom of the seventh when Trenton Harrell singled on a 1-1 count, scoring the winning run for the Wolves as Eldorado fell to 3-12 overall.

Eldorado had five hits on the day as Parker Price paced the Eagles, going 2-for-2 with an RBI and two runs scored.

Chase Kittinger had the other run for Eldorado, going 1-for-3, while Jake Phelps was 1-for-2 with a pair of RBI and Anderson Woolcott was 1-for-3.

Anderson Woolcott took the loss in relief of starter Parker Price. Woolcott worked 1.1 inning and allowed one run (unearned) on one hit with two strikeouts.

Price went five innings and allowed three runs (one earned) on six hits as the junior struck out seven and walked one.

Eldorado was scheduled to host NCOE on Monday and will travel to Carmi-White County Tuesday. On Thursday, the Eagles will host the Bulldogs in the BDC rubber match and close out the week at home against West Frankfort on Saturday at 10 a.m.
