Track & Field: Bulldogs take home 5 first-place finishes at Carterville

Tony Keene won the men's 110 meter hurdles at the Carterville Co-Ed Open, crossing the line any 16.39 for one of five first-place finishes on the day.

Keene ran a time of 16.39, while Karmello Downey wes second in the same event with a time of18.77.

Luke Winkleman had a first place finish for the Bulldogs in the 800 meter race, running a time of 2:09. Doc Harrawood was sixth for Harrisburg, finishing with a time of 2:42.

Tysen Satterfiled had a first place finish for Harrisburg in the 200 meters, crossing the line at 24.51, while Brenden Hicks finished fifth (26.67) and Cody Gunter was sixth (26.74).

Harrisburg took first in a pair of field events as Cooper Phalin won the shot put and Downey took home the top spot in the triple jump.

Phalin had a throw of 42-feet-1 in the shot put aand Downey went 38-feet-2 in the triple jump

The Harrisburg 4x100 meter relay team of Travis Fann, Tysen Satterfield, Tevin Godsey and Ryan Persinger took second, finishing in a time of 45.94. Carterville won the event with a time of 44.97.

The Bulldog 4x400 meter relay team also took second, finishing with a time of 3:50.2 That squad was made up of Malachi Black, Nate Lawrence, Godsey and Fann.

The Harrisburg 4x200 meter relay team of Chandler Questelle, Brenden Hicks, Andrew Unthank and Cody Gunter were third with a time of 1:43.73.

Lawrence had a second-place finish in the high jump, going 5-foot-10.

Geodesy was third for Harrisburg in the 100 meter race, running a time of 11.33.

Matthew Perkins had a fifth-place finish in the 1600 meter run, finishing with a time of 5:47.3. Cameron Carnett was eight in the same race, crossing the line at 5:53.1.

Black and Persinger were fifth and sixth, respectively in the 400 meters as Black ran a time of 58.89 and Persinger turned in a time of 1:00.05.
