Prep Boys Hoops: Eldorado takes down Edwards Co.

Eldorado improved to 10-7 overall and went to 2-3 in the Black Diamond Conference with a 58-50 win at Edwards County Friday night.

The Eagles got a game-high 17 points from Gage Heath, while Josh Owens also finished in double figures with 12 points.

Parker Price and Trevor Milligan each netted nine for the Eagles, while Boston Bradley scored seven points and Brock Cantrell finished with four points.

Eldorado jumped out to a 16-11 first quarter lead and outscored the Lions 19-12 in the second quarter to take a 35-23 lead into the locker room.

Edwards County outscored Eldorado 20-16 in the third to pull to within eight, 51-43, but EHS kept the Lions at bay in the final eight minutes of action.

Dylan Rhodes led the Lions with 13 points.

<b>Herrin 53, Harrisburg 38</b>

Herrin won it's eighth straight game as the reigning Eldorado Holiday Tournament champs took down Harrisburg 53-38 at home Friday night.

Herrin started out with a 9-7 first quarter lead and Harrisburg quickly knotted the game at 9 early in the second quarter, but the Tigers went on a 7-0 run and took a 22-13 lead into the locker room.

Herrin put seven players in the scoring column as EHT MVP Haydon Mayer led all players with 19 points.

Riley Chrostowski netted nine for HHS, while Jonathon Harrison added eight points. Exavier Williams and Fox Connor each scored six points, Kyrese Lukens tossed in three points and Reese Billingsley tacked on two points.

Michael Godsey had a team-high 13 points for the Bulldogs, while Nate Lawrence tossed in 10 points to finish in double figures as well.

Chris Allen and Tevin Godsey each scored six points for the Bulldogs, while Cameron Ande had three points.
