Prep Hoops: Bradley moves into 2nd place on EHS coaching list; Eagles go 2-3 at Vienna

Eldorado went 3-2 at the Vienna Classic, concluding the event with a one-point 61-60 heartbreaking loss to Cobden Saturday night.

Tyler Franklin led all scorers as the 6-foot-6 junior center had a game-high 30 points for the Appleknockers. Elliott Lowndes tacked on 19 points for Cobden.

Eldorado was led in scoring by Parker Price's 22 points, while the Eagles also put Gage Heath (13 points) and Josh Owens (10 points) in double figures.

Boston Bradley finished with five points for the Eagles, while Isaac Barrett and Brock Cantrell each tacked on three points. Trevor Milligan and Dylan Henshaw both tossed in two points.

Eldorado and Cobden were tied at 15 after the conclusion of the first quarter, but the Appleknockers grabbed a 30-27 halftime lead after outscoring EHS 15-12. Cobden maintained its three point lead after three quarters, taking a 46-43 advantage into the final eight minutes, where Cobden was able to hold off a late rally by Eldorado, despite being outscoring 17-15.

<b>FRIDAY</b>

<b>Eldorado 61, Carrier Mills-Stonefort 40</b>

Eldorado put three players in double figures in a 61-40 win over Saline County rival Carrier Mills-Stonefort Friday night at the Vienna Classic.

Parker Price led all players with 20 points for the Eagles, while Josh Owens finished with 15 points and Boston Bradley tossed in 11 points.

Gage Heath and Trevor Milligan each finished with five points, while Dylan Henshaw tacked on three points and Canon Weatherly tossed in two points.

The Eagles, who shot 11-of-16 from the foul line in the first half, went 13-for-19 in the game, finishing at 68 percent.

CMSF got a team-high 15 points from Caden VanMeter, while Zavier Rollins just missed out on double figure scoring, netting nine points. Kaden Sanders and Eli Taylor each added eight points for the Wildcats.

<b>WEDNESDAY</b>

<b>Eldorado 44, Meridian 38</b>

Parker Price had a game-high 15 points and Eldorado head coach Josh Bradley moved into second place all-time on the Eagles' boys' basketball coaching list after a 44-38 win over Meridian Wednesday night at the Vienna Classic.

Bradley, in his eighth season at EHS, passed Fred Harris as Bradley is now 133-66.

Josh Owens just missed double figure scoring, netting nine points, while Gage Heath scored seven points for Eldorado. Brock Cantrell and Dylan Henshaw each finished with five points, while Boston Bradley tossed in three points.

Jaden Bigham had a team-high 12 points for Meridian.

<b>TUESDAY</b>

<b>Massac County 81, Eldorado 55</b>

Massac County put three players in double figures as Will Harmon had a game-high 19 points for the Patriots in a 81-55 win over Eldorado Tuesday night at the Vienna Classic.

Brady Cissell added 18 points and Isaac Hosman finished with 14 points for Massac County.

Eldorado got a team-high 14 points from Gage Heath and 12 points from Parker Price.

Boston Bradley netted nine for the Eagles in the loss, while Trevor Milligan scored six points. Brock Cantrell finished with four points, while Josh Owens, Dylan Henshaw, Canon Weatherly, Steven Dogged and Andrew Murray all had two points.

<b>MONDAY</b>

<b>Vienna 63, Eldorado 50</b>

Eldorado got a game-high 20 points from Josh Owens, but it wasn't enough in a 50-63 loss to open up the season and the Vienna Tournament Monday night.

Owen Treat had 19 points for Vienna and Skylar Blankenship scored 16 points

Boston Bradley also finished in double figures for the Eagles, finishing with 15 points. Parker Price scored seven points, while Issac Barrett and Gage Heath each tacked on three points. Trevor Milligan tossed in two points for EHS.
