Prep Football: Eldorado drop BDC road game to Red Devils

For the fifth straight time, Sesser-Valier-Waltonville posted a win over Eldorado, this time beating the the Eagles 48-6 Friday night in a home win for the Red Devils.

Eldorado's lone touchdown was a third quarter strike from Parker Price to Josh Owens.

The Eagles (1-5 overall) were held to 223 yards as Eldorado rushed for 43 and threw for 180. Sesser-Valier-Waltonville racked up 356 yards with 268 coming through the air.

It was Homecoming night for the Red Devils, who kept themselves in the Black Diamond Conference championship conversation as they improved to 5-1 and will play Johnston City Friday for what will be a share of first place.

Price was 7-for-18 under center for the Eagles, finishing with a pair of interceptions and 43 yards passing. Owens had three catches for 18 yards, while Dylan Henshaw came up with three catches for 17 yards. Chase Kittinger caught one pass for eight yards.

On the ground, Henshaw had 99 yards on 14 carries, while Kittinger carried the rock six times for 34 yards. Price finished with five carries for 23 yards, while Brock Cantrell had 13 yards on seven carries and Robinson finished with 11 yards on four carries.

The Eagles are set to host Carmi-White County Friday night in what will be Eldorado's Homecoming night.
