Prep Football: Eldorado bested by Foxes on BDC rivalry week

For just the second time since 2009, Hamilton County got the best of Eldorado was the Foxes rolled to a 38-14 win over the Eagles during the Black Diamond Conferences rivalry week.

Hamilton County improves to 2-3 in the BDC, while Eldorado drops to 1-4.

After capitalizing on an Eldorado turnover to start the game, the Foxes grabbed an 8-0 lead on a Wyatt Richard three-yard touchdown run, but the Eagles responded with a 43-yard TD pass from Parker Price to Josh Owens, tying the game at 8 following the two-point conversion.

Hamilton County took a 14-8 lead into the locker room after Arion Allen scored from 11 yards out and put up 24 more points in the second half as the Eagles, who put one more score on the board, coming from Dylan Henshaw was held to 63 yards.

Eldorado had 206 in the game, with 151 coming from the air and 55 on the ground.

Owens led the air raid with 105 yards on three catches, while Henshaw had 18 yards on three catches. Boston Bradley had one catch for 16 yards and Gage Heath had one catch for 12 yards.

Price went 8-for-12 under center for 151 with one TD and one interception, while Brock Cantrell had eight carries for 26 yards. Henshaw had seven carries for 12 yards and Price had 17 yards on five carries.

Eldorado hits the road and travels to Sesser-Valier-Waltonville Friday night.
