Prep Volleyball: Eagles go 1-3 at NCOE Tournament

Eldorado picked up a straight set victory over Thompsonville Thursday, notching their lone win at last week's Norris City-Omaha-Enfield volleyball tournament.

The Eagles won 25-20 and 25-18 over Thompsonville, while losing to Carmi-White County (19-25, 12-25), Hamilton County (16-25, 27-25, 13-15) and NCOE (22-25, 10-25).

Eldorado's McKana Reid made the All-Tournament Team, where EHS head coach Lisa Craig said Reid's net game was good, alongside Lily Mosby and Karis Lane.

"All three had a very good tournament with their net game," she said. "Tori Phelps led in sets and played very good defense with a lot of saving digs. Olivia Griffin and Brianna Bennett came off the bench to cover for two of our senior starters that couldn't make the trip and did a good job. Emily Colorado did a good job serving."

In the tournament, Reid was 44-54 on spikes with 17 kills, while going 25-27 on serves with three aces and 11-14 on blocks with two kills.

Lane was 35-44 on spikes with 10 kills and going 2-4 on blocks. Lane went 18-21 on serves with two aces.

Mosby was 30-35 on serves with seven aces and 25-28 on spikes with 10 kills and 5-9 on blocks with one kill.

Phelps had 54 sets and was 18-18 on serves, while Colorado was 20-24 on serves with two aces.
