Prep Golf: Marion rolls to triangular win over Bulldogs

Karsten Stotlar shot a 37 to take medalist honors in helping the Marion boys' golf team to a triangular win over Vienna and Harrisburg at Kokopelli Golf Course.

The Wildcats shot a 162, while Vienna had a 199 and Harrisburg finished with a 207.

Brent Lawrence carded a low round 43 for Harrisburg, whileEvan McDermott and Hayden Emery each shot a 48 for the Bulldogs, while Logan Hatton added a 68.

On Saturday, Harrisburg finished third in a seven-team event at Benton Country Club.

The host Rangers won the event with a 282, while Anna-Jonesboro shot a 327 for second place. Harrisburg (342), West Frankfort (349), Carterville (358), Carmi-White County. (380) and Murphysboro (433) rounded out the team scoring.

Grant Wilson led the Bulldogs with an 80, while Ashton Hall added an 86. Evan McDermott and Hayden Emery each shot an 88 for Harrisburg, while Brent Lawrence carded a 93.
