Patriots rally to beat Eldorado in 2A quarterfinals

Massac County's Will Harmon kept the Patriots season alive Thursday when he hit a two-out walk off, single, scoring the game's winning runs as Massac County beat Eldorado 2-1 in the IHSA Class 2A Regional.
Eldorado, who ends its abbreviated spring season at 8-8, outhit the Patriots 3-2 as Bryant Byrd took the tough-luck loss on the mound.
Byrd gave up two runs on two hits, all while striking out 12 and walking five.
Luke Maurer got the win for Massac County, allowing one run on three hits, while striking out nine and walking one.
Eldorado got on the board in the second inning when Trevor Milligan's sacrifice fly scored Dylan Vaughn. 
Vaughn, along with Parker Price and Nick Stanford each collected one hit for the Eagles.
Massac County will now face Harrisburg Friday in the semifinals of the 2A regional at Jay Thompson Field, starting at 4:30 p.m.
