Bulldogs split in match with Marion, Fairfield

The Harrisburg wrestling team split a pair of matches earlier in the week as the Bulldogs edged Fairfield 42-39 and were beat by Marion 48-36.

In the win over Fairfield, Harrisbur's Tony Keene (113) earned a first period pin fall over Otis Lurz, while Bradyn Whiting (170) pinned Sebastian Williams in the first period and Ty Hutchison (182) had a first period pin fall over Bronson Rilea.

Forfeit wins for the Bulldogs were award to Chantz Jaegers (120), Cole Riggs (160), Nolen Deaton (195), and Neal Martin (285).

In the loss to the Wildcats, Marion's Brennan Vogt (120) earned a second period pin fall over Chantz Jaegers,while Marion's Ricky Wade (126) beat Sebastian Brown with a first period pin fall, Andre Morrison (132) beat Harrisburg's Cameron Carnett with a first period pin fall and Hunter Gibb (145) picked up a second period pin fall over Harrisburg's Will Moyer.

The Wildcats had a handful of wins later down the weight class as Nate Dampier (170) had a first period pin fall over Cole Riggs, Aiden White (182) picked up a second period pin fall over Ty Hutchison, Clayton Tanner (195) earned a first period pin fall over Nolan Deaton and Kanye Gunn (285) pinned Neal Martin in the first period.

Bulldog junior Sam Martin (152) had a first period pin fall over Haile Napier-Feth and senior Bradyn Whiting (16) also pinned Derrick Khy in the first period. The only other win for Harrisburg was Bryant Lester (220) picking up a first period pin fall over Levi Tanner.

Forfeit wins for the Bulldogs were award to Jace Oglesby (106), Tony Keene (113), Blake Reed (138).
