Harrisburg girls finish sixth at Pinckneyville meet

The Harrisburg girls' track and field team turned in a sixth place finish, scoring 47 points against 12 other teams at Monday's Pinckneyville meet.

Sidney Neal had one of the best performances of the day for the Bulldogs as the Harrisburg sophomore turned in the top time of the 300 meter hurdles, finishing with a time of 51.66 for a first place finish and was second in the 100 meter hurdles, turning in a time of 17.71.

Nikaya Douglas was fourth in the long jump, clearing 14-08.75, while Junior Aubrey Pullum was fifth in the 3200 meter run, turning in a time of 16:03.13 and Lauryn Gribble was seventh overall in the 400 meter dash, finishing in a time of 1:09.34 and eighth in the shot put, with a heave of 20-00.75

The Harrisburg 4x200 team of Bailey Abraham, Chloe Williams, Frankie Nicoles and Makenna Moss was fifth with a time of 2:04.27.

Alaina Stone joined Neal with a top-10 performance in the 300 meter hurdles as she was seventh with a time of 1:00.06. and was sixth in the high jump, clearing 4-feet-4 and third in the pole vault, clearing 7-foot. Gribble was sixth in the pole vault.

Douglas was took 9th in the 100 meter dash with a time of 13.94 and Dkyla Donaldson was 14th with a time of 15.72.

In the 200 meter dash, Donaldson was 18th with a time of 32.56. Chelsea Jaegers was 24th in the same event, turning in a time of 33.87.

In the 800 meter run, Aubrey Pullum was 20th, taking a time of 2:58.20.
