Harrisburg moves to 8-0 with pair of weekend wins

Harrisburg pounded out 11 hits and the Bulldogs used two pitchers to throw a five inning no-hit 15-0 win over Elverado Saturday at Jay Thompson Field.

Chance Moscardelli and Drew Hawkins combined for the shutout as Moscardelli improved to 2-0 on the season as he struck out three over three innings. Hawkins also struck out three, coming on in relief.

At the plate, Krayton Morse was 2-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored, while Javie Beal, Noah Boon, Andrew Bittle, Jackson Pittman, Peyton Arnold, Cameron Ande, Ross Rider, Jack Ford, and Hawkins all had one hit on the day.

Harrisburg wasted little time scoring Saturday, putting up five runs in the first inning, followed by a five-run second inning. The Bulldogs closed things out with four runs in the third and added a run in the bottom of the fourth.

<b>Harrisburg 15, Hamilton County 1</b>

On Friday, Beal and Bittle both went 3-for-3 and each added three RBI, while Beal scored two runs in a 15-1 victory over Hamilton County.

Ben Brombaugh went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and an RBI, while Luke Miller and Ande each had one hit. Ande was 1-for-2 with two runs scored and an RBI. Miller went 1-for-1 with a pair of RBI.

Boon improved to 3-0 on the season, going three innings and allowing one run on no hits, while striking out three and walking four. Brandon Banks came on in relief, allowing no hits and struck out two.
