Eldorado takes two from Indians in BDC action

The Eldorado baseball team took a pair of games from Johnston City in Black Diamond Conference action as the Eagles open the season 3-0.

EHS won Game 1, 6-1 and blanked the Indians 9-0 in Game 2.

In the 6-1 win, Parker Price picked up the complete game victory, going five innings and allowing one run (unearned) on two hits, while striking out 12 and walking one as the sophomore is now 1-0 on the season.

At the plate, Eldorado put up four hits as Price went 2-for-3 with three runs scored. Chase Kittinger and Bradley Boulds had the other two hits. Kittinger and Boulds each drove in two runs, while Kittinger scored one run.

Aiden Whitlock and Eli Ralston scored the other runs, while Trevor Milligan finished with an RBI.

In the 9-0 win, Braynt Byrd and Anderson Woolcott combined to throw a no-hitter as Byrd picked up the win, going six strong innings, striking out 16 batters, while Woolcott worked the seventh and struck out one.

Offensively, Eldorado had six hits on the day as Nick Stanford and Byrd both had multiple hits and each finished with two RBI.

Kittinger and Milligan had the other two hits as Milligan scored two runs and Kittinger scored one.

Dylan Vaughn, Price, Boulds, Woolcott, Whitlock and Ralston all scored one run as well.
