Eagles drop a pair to Carmi-White County in BDC action

The Eldorado baseball team suffered a pair of losses, losing 11-4 and 11-4 to Carmi-White County Monday at the EHS Sports Complex.

In the 11-4 Game 1 loss, Bryant Byrd took the loss on the mound, as he went five innings and allowed six runs (two earned) on four hits, while striking out seven and walking five.

Parker Price came on in relief and surrendered two runs on one hit with one strikeout in 2/3 of an inning. Anderson Woolcott followed with 1.1 innings, giving up three runs (unearned) on three hits with one strikeout.

The Eagles came away with just four hits on the day as Price was 1-for-4 with a team-high two RBI and a run scored. Byrd and Woolcott also had one hit and both scored one run, while Dylan Vaughn went 1-for-2 with an RBI. Aiden Whitlock had the other run scored for the Eagles.

In the 11-4 Game 2 loss, EHS was held to three hits as Chase Kittinger, Price and Vaughn all had one hit.

Woolcott had two RBI on the day, while Bradley Boulds finished with one run scored and an RBI. Kittinger, Byrd and Price scored the other three runs.

Price took the loss on the bump as the sophomore went 3.1 innings, allowing four runs on seven hits, while striking out six and walking four.

Woolcott and Trevor Milligan each worked 1/3 of an inning as Woolcott gave up six runs (unearned) on one hit, while striking out one and walking four. Milligan issued a pair of walks. Kittinger rounded out the relief pitching by giving up one run on no hits with three walks.

Eldorado (3-2) returns to action Thursday with a road game at Weber Township to close out the week.
