Eldorado starts season in style with win at Grayville

Bryant Byrd struck out 12 batters over four innings and Eldorado pounded out 14 hits in a 19-1 win at Grayville late last week.

Byrd (1-0) got the start, throwing 58 pitches and allowing one run (none earned) on one hit. Parker Price came on in relief and went 1.1, giving up three walks and struck out two.

At the dish, Bradley Boulds was 3-for-3 with three runs scored and three RBI, while Chase Kittinger and Anderson Woolcott each had multiple hit games as well.

Kittinger was 2-for-4 with two runs scored and a pair of RBI, while Woolcott went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and driving in two.

Dylan Vaughn, Trevor Milligan, Eli Raston, Aiden Whitlock, Canon Weatherly, Byrd and Price all had one hit. Vaughn scored twice, while Byrd, Gaston, Whitlock and Weatherly all scored one run.

Gaston, like Boulds, drove in three runs on the afternoon, while Vaughn had three RBI as well. Kittinger and Price each finished with two RBI, while Byrd and Weatherly each had one RBI.

Josh Owens and Isaac Collision also scored a run for Eldorado.

The Eagles were scheduled to play at Johnston City Monday and will return to the diamond Friday at home against Dongola.
