Eldorado picks up season opening win over Pope Co.

Eldorado picked up an 8-2 win over Pope County to start the season late last week.
In the circle, Emma Wargel picked up the win, allowing two earned runs on three hits over seven innings, while walking three.
At the plate, Kylie Oglesby went 3-for-3 with three runs scored, while Ali Joyner was 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored. Lexie Mitchell also had a multiple hit day as she finished 2-for-2 with a run scored and two stolen bases. Cydnee Van Zant, Alexa Haenel and Wargel each had one hit as Haenel provided a double and scored one run.
Eldorado was scheduled to play in a double-header Monday at Johnston City. The Eagles will then host Harrisburg on Thursday at 4 p.m., followed by a home game with Dongola on Friday.
