Marlene Kay Loucks of Tamaroa

Marlene Kay Loucks, 65, of Tamaroa, passed away at 4:01 p.m. on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at her residence.

Marlene had been a factory worker at Gilster-Mary Lee. She was a member of St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Todds Mill. She enjoyed attending church functions but mostly enjoyed spending time with her family.

She was born Oct. 21, 1956 in Pinckneyville, Illinois, the daughter of Theodore and Marcella (Lamczyk) Bronke.

She is survived by one daughter, Kimberly (Brandon) Phillips of Murphysboro; one son, Kevin (Velvet) Loucks of Belleville; one grandson, Harrison Carter Phillips; two stepgrandchildren, Brittany Phillips and Tristan Phillips; two sisters, Rosemary Gogolek of Du Bois, Illinois and Donna Mattis of Buffalo Grove, Illinois; three brothers, David Bronke of Du Bois, Robert Bronke of Du Bois, and Chuck Bronke of Tamaroa; seven nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Nancy Bronke.

A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 25, 2022 at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Todds Mill, with Fr. Carl Schrage officiating.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Monday at the church.

Burial will be in the St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery in Todds Mill.

Friends may make memorials to Masses or St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery; these will be accepted at the funeral home.
