Randy was born on Oct. 1, 1943 in Oakland, Nebraska to the late Muriel Strand Rabe and Willis Rabe.

He was also preceded in death by his sister, Anita Tietjen; his brother, Barry Rabe; and his daughter, Jamie Marie Rabe, who died in infancy.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 31 years, Sharon Yvonne (Cole) Rabe; daughter Debbie Cole (wife Lisa Compton) of Concord, North Carolina; son, Don Cole (wife Paula) of Commerce, Michigan; a sister, Carrie Rabe of Wichita, Kansas; special friends Judy and Johnny Call of Farmville, Virginia; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Randy was a proud graduate of the University of Nebraska and was an avid Cornhusker football fan. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy, where he honorably served in Vietnam as a communications specialist.

When he was a resident of Marion, Illinois, he met his future wife Sharon and became a dad to her children, Debbie and Don.

Randy was retired after a successful career as a territory manager with Reinke Irrigation. He had a wonderful knack for figuring out things and solving problems.
