Judy McCurdy of Pinckneyville

Judy Faye McCurdy, 79, of Pinckneyville, passed away at 5:54 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 9, 2021 at Evelyn's House Hospice in Creve Coeur, Missouri.

Judy was a LPN/Respiratory Therapist at Pinckneyville Community Hospital for 35 years. She was a member of Roe's Dale Baptist Church in Pinckneyville.

She was born Dec. 8, 1942 at Sesser, Illinois, the daughter of Charles and Dorothy Mae (Berg) Tennison.

Judy is survived by a daughter, Karen (Jason) Knapp of Du Quoin; a son, Kevin McCurdy of Pinckneyville; one sister, Linda (Pete) Doerr of Du Quoin; two brothers, Larry (Paula) Tennison of Watson, Louisiana and Gary (Tina) Tennison of Du Quoin; three grandchildren, Brittany Knapp, Ashley McCurdy and Dustin (Kayla) McCurdy; and one great-grandchild on the way.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Bobby Tennison.

Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 13, 2021 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Lee Valerius officiating.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Monday at the funeral home.

Everyone in attendance is required to wear a mask, and guests are asked to follow social distancing guidelines.

Burial will be in the Paradise Cemetery in Tamaroa, Illinois.

Friends are invited to make memorials to Evelyn's House Hospice, which will be accepted at the funeral home.
