William 'Bill' Tippett of rural Creal Springs

William "Bill" Tippett, 73, of rural Creal Springs, died at 12:04 p.m. on Sunday March 28, 2021 at his residence.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at the Drake Cemetery. There will be no visitation; all friends and family should go directly to the cemetery. The Rev. Jeff Owens will officiate. Military rites will be performed by the Army National Guard. Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills is assisting the family.

Bill was born on May 31, 1947 in El Paso, Texas to the late Robert and Edna (Pfost) Tippett.

He married the former Pamela Brown on Nov. 4, 1995 and she survives.

He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the National American Legion and a member of the Carrier Mills American Legion Post 364.

He is survived by his wife, Pamela Tippett of Creal Springs; five children, Carrie (Rob) Enwright of Washington, Thomas Brown of Johnston City, Jessica (Nick) Rewis of Carterville, Christine (Jon) Brandal-Rossi of Harrisburg and Will Tippett of Tinley Park; a brother, Robert (June) Tippett; 13 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, John Tippett.
