March Mobile Market

  • For the third month in a row, volunteers at the monthly Chester Area Christian Food Pantry (CACFP) Mobile Market faced inclement weather. Wednesday, March 23, it was rainy, cold and breezy as approximately 25 dependable volunteers served roughly 73 vouchered automobiles. Clients received bags of fresh apples, potatoes, oranges, whipped cream, frozen french fries, a variety bag of selected items, frozen chicken legs, mixed vegetable boxes and other items. For the month of February, the CACFP served 131 households with 318 individuals. The next Mobile Market will be held at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 27, at the Cohen Recreation Complex in Chester.
