Fans, coaches and others at Tuesday's Harrisburg High School boys basketball game vs. Goreville donated $1,150 to go to Mayfield (KY) High School. A collection was organized quickly and taken inside Davenport Gymnasium.

Another $2,150 is being donated by Harrisburg High School and Harrisburg athletics, for a total of $3,300 to be sent down to the region devastated by the EF-4 tornado over the weekend, as it ripped through Western Kentucky.

As of Thursday the death toll was 74, with victims ranging in age from 2 months to 98 years old. Many people remain missing.

Mayfield High School was opened as a community shelter in the wake of the disaster that struck Friday night.
