HRMC donates $25K to Boys and Girls Clubs of Southern Illinois

MARION - Heartland Regional Medical Center hosted a special check presentation ceremony on Tuesday at its Marion facility.

In honor of Doctors' Day, members of the Medical Executive Committee and Administration from HRMC presented the Boys and Girls Clubs of Southern Illinois with a check for $25,000 on behalf of its providers and employees.

That donation will help the BGCSI to open a new site in Marion.

Heartland Regional CEO Ed Cunningham said, "The Boys and Girls Club positively impacts the lives of the families we serve by providing a safe place for youth after school and throughout the summer. Our providers care for those same families every day. By recognizing our providers with this Doctors' Day donation, we're saying thanks for all that they do on this day, and always."

The BGCSI will hold a media conference on April 6 to announce plans for expanding its services to the Marion area.
