<b>Harrisburg native graduates from UA</b>

Alexa Burtis of Harrisburg has graduated from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. UA awarded some 2,257 degrees during its fall commencement on Dec. 12.

<b>Events scheduled at Gallatin District 7</b>

Gallatin County Unit District 7 has the following upcoming events scheduled for the week of Jan. 27-Feb. 6: Scholar Bowl competition, 9 a.m. Feb. 3 at home vs. Hardin County High School; parent/teacher conferences, 2:15-3:15 p.m. on Feb. 3; and junior high girls volleyball vs. Thompsonville, 6 p.m. Feb. 3 at home.
