Last day for farmers market today

HARRISBURG - Today is the last day of the season to visit James Bond's Farmers Market to pick up locally produced garden favorites.

The farmers market is noon to 5 p.m. in the parking lot of the Bonan Business Center in Harrisburg.

Though it's mid-October and temperatures are dropping, Bond says he'll have a wide assortment of items available for the last time this year.

"We still have a limited amount of green beans available," Bond said.

Other items for sale include tomatoes (red, yellow and green), squash, zucchini, bell peppers, cucumbers, pickles, sweet potatoes, turnips, Golden Delicious apples and locally produced honey, Bond said.

"We'll also have some pumpkins available," he said.

Bond said because it's the last farmers market he has planned for the year, he will have closeout specials available.
