Cache River Center to host orienteering presentation

CYPRESS - An introduction to orienteering workshop on Saturday, Sept. 26 will present basic orienteering concepts to children and adults: how to use a compass, measure distances with paces, and traverse an orienteering course.

Participants will be provided with the use of a compass and a course map and will practice newfound skills along a course at Egret Slough. The workshop is 1 to 3 p.m. at Cache River Sate Natural Area, Barkhausen - Cache River Wetlands Center. Call (618) 657-2064 for more information.
