Mason Ramsey visits with fans at Census Day social

GOLCONDA - On Aug. 15, Southern Seven Health Department held a community ice cream social Census Day at The Chocolate Factory in Golconda.

Those who completed their census received a free ice cream cone and lunch as a thank you.

But the real treat was getting a photo with local country music artist Mason Ramsey, who practiced COVID-19 safety measures with other participants, including state Rep. Patrick Windhorst and his family.

Completing the census ensures that millions of dollars is available for vital services in the Southern Seven region including hospitals, schools, business development, infrastructure, emergency preparedness and more over the next 10 years.

For information on completing your 2020 Census, contact S7HD at (618) 634-2297. The deadline is Sept. 30.
