COVID-19 claims life in Gallatin County

ELDORADO - Egyptian Health Department announced Monday that a Gallatin County resident died following complications from COVID-19.

"Egyptian Health Department was notified of a Gallatin County resident who has passed away due to complications of Coronavirus (COVID-19). We, at Egyptian Health Department, are saddened by this news and our thoughts are with the family. This information was received after our news release went out earlier this afternoon," the health department announced in a statement Monday.

The spread of COVID-19 will be addressed by Egyptian Health Department in a news conference Wednesday.

Also, EHD announced the most recent positive COVID-19 case information Tuesday afternoon.

Those testing positive all are from Saline County.

They include

a female, in her teens, at home and in isolation

a male, in his 20s, at home and in isolation

a female, in her 60s, at home and in isolation.

To date, Saline County has had a total of 117 lab confirmed positives, including one death.

White County has had a total of 62 lab-confirmed positives, and Gallatin County has a total of 46 lab-confirmed positives of COVID-19, including 1 death.
