Small biz contest to reward local operators

SOUTHERN ILLINOIS - A company wants to highlight small businesses who are getting by during the COVID-19 pandemic with a customer-nominated contest.

Signs.com wants to spotlight local businesses.

For those small businesses that are still hanging on, Illinois' gradual reopening offers a glimmer of hope. People are looking for creative ways to reignite their businesses. Signs.com wants to help provide that spark.

To that end, Signs.com is announcing a contest to spotlight small businesses that have gone above and beyond to give back to their community.

Winners will receive $1,000 in signage for their business from Signs.com. Winners will be chosen through a crowd voting system based on the following criteria: service to their community, creativity in adapting to change, and emotional appeal.

The contest will run through June 30, and winners will be announced by July 20.
