DU QUOIN -- Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin announced this week the addition of five new providers to its medical staff and medical clinics beginning in January 2019.

"We are continually making efforts to ensure our community has access to the types of healthcare providers and services they need," said Dan Eaves, CEO. "Our efforts have focused on access to primary care and reducing wait time for patients needing to see a provider. Following Dr. Gladstone Tucker's transition to a full-time nursing home practice along with the retirement of Dr. Craig Furry, it became critical that we recruit additional providers to the community.

"We certainly do not want patients having to wait a long time to see a provider," Eaves said. "We are fortunate to partner with these experienced providers who are well known for their excellence in patient care. The addition of these providers should help us reach our goal of little or no wait time for local families."

The new providers will see patients in the hospital's two rural health clinics. The Marshall Browning Medical Clinic, located across the street from the hospital, will include Robert Davidson, M.D.; David Yablonsky, D.O.; and Mariah Charles, NP. They will join Danielle Klump, a family nurse practitioner who already works at the clinic.

New providers who will practice at the Family Health Center, located at 20 N. Washington St., Du Quoin, (former office of Dr. Furry), will include Pavan Bejgum, M.D. and Kathy Laird, NP. They will join Heather Rice, a physician assistant who already works at the Health Center.
