Following the annual Gathering of the Juggalos rap music and wrestling festival at Hog Rock Campground, the sheriff's department was in contact with family or friends of eight individuals last week. The festival was the second week of August and is for Juggalos, fans of the Detroit, Mich., rap group Insane Clown Posse.

One of those missing was Jesse Waters, 24, Murfreesboro, Tenn., who was pulled dead from the river near Sturgeon Island, believed drowned, Cullison said.

As of Aug. 17 there were still two unresolved reports of missing Juggalettes -- female Juggalos -- one in Ohio and one in Arizona.

Cullison said both have been in contact and are fine.

"One was home Friday night and the other Saturday morning. One called and said she was staying at a friend's house and had cell phone problems. They are not missing," Cullison said.

Cullison's staff is working to tally the financial blow the gathering of up to 20,000 Juggalos has had on the sheriff's department budget this year.

"The secretary and bookkeeper are working on it now. It will tear it up, I know that much," Cullison said.

The department issued 187 citations, made 37 arrests and investigated home invasions, one of which ended with the arrest of a Kalamazoo, Mich., man.

Cullison also received many reports of garden ruined due to raiding by Juggalos.
