App Finder: Top Apple apps of the year

In this week's edition of App Finder, we highlight the 2014's most popular iPhone apps. Check out the App Store for more on each app, and stay tuned for next week's roundup of 2014's most popular Android apps.

Among the top free apps, social media platforms reign supreme, with Facebook Messenger taking the top spot, despite users' complaints earlier this summer about having to download a separate app to chat with friends over Facebook.

As for paid apps, Heads Up! topped the list. Based off of a game played on "The Ellen Degeneres Show," the app has players guess the card on their heads based on clues from friends before time runs out.
