Harrisburg woman accused of attempted murder

Harrisburg Police on Tuesday arrested a Harrisburg woman charged with the attempted murder of another Harrisburg woman.

Police arrested Amy Nicole Tolley, 19, 100 S. Club St., Harrisburg, 6:35 p.m. March 25 on charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault and unlawful use of weapon. She remained held at the Saline County Detention Center on $10,000 cash bond Wednesday afternoon.

Police Chief Bob Smith said police received a report 10 p.m. Monday a stabbing victim was at Harrisburg Medical Center. Breanna Sisk relayed to police she had been stabbed in the chest by Tolley at Tolley's residence on the first block of Baker Street, Smith said.

"She's going to be OK. She was stabbed in the chest and is out of intensive care at an Evansville hospital," Smith said.

Police located Tolley on Tuesday and interviewed her. Smith said she has denied the charges against her.
