Floyd E. Dehne

Floyd E. Dehne, age 86, of Pinckneyville, Ill., passed away on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013 at 2:40 p.m. in Pinckneyville Health Care, Pinckneyville, Ill.

Floyd was born on Sept. 2, 1927, in Road District #52 in Perry County, Ill., a son to Charles Dehne and Katherine (Krupp) Dehne. On Sept. 20, 1945, he was married to Ida Nadine (Fisher) Dehne in Pinckneyville, Ill. She preceded him in death on May 26, 2010. He was a veteran of the United States Army, proudly serving his country during WW II. Floyd was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Pinckneyville, Ill., worked as a truck driver for over 30 years, driving for Frazier Trucking and Keene Trucking & Moving. He had also worked for the railroad, Hobson's Tire Shop and was a farmer. Floyd was a member of the Teamsters and enjoyed fishing, farming and tinkering with mechanics and lawnmowers.

Survivors include one son, Jeffrey (Mary) Dehne of Pinckneyville, Ill. one daughter, Deborah (Larry) Tadlock of Pinckneyville, Ill.; four grandchildren, Larry Todd (Gina) Tadlock of Royalton, Ill., Laurie Jo Tadlock of Oraville, Ill., Timothy Dehne of St. Louis, Mo. and Julie Dehne of St. Louis, Mo.; six great-grandchildren, Athena Payne, Alyana Dehne, Jacob Tadlock, Seth and Caleb Tadlock and Ethan Tadlock; two sisters-in-law, Waunita Dehne of Peoria, Ill. and Ruth Dehne of Belleville, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Nadine; daughter, Veronica Sue Dehne; son, Clayton Paul Dehne; grandson, Jeffrey Allan Dehne; nine brothers, Ed Clark, Arthur Clark, Jake Dehne, Marion Dehne, Russell Dehne, Carl Dehne, Bill Dehne, Harold Dehne and Jimmie Dehne and a sister, Augusta Dehne

Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Cindy Bean officiating. Interment will be in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Pinckneyville, Ill. Military graveside services will be provided by Presswood-Daffron American Legion Post #2504.

Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
