Workers from Womack's Concrete Construction began work Friday on the permanent stage being built in downtown Carrier Mills.

The stage will be located just east of the Post Office parking lot with the stage front facing east and have the dimensions of 30 feet wide by 16 feet in depth with an elevation of 24 inches.

Workers finished pouring the foundation for the stage Friday afternoon.
