Obituary: Ruby Rash
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Ruby W. Rash, of Eldorado, passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2012, at her residence.
She was born in White County on July 3, 1925. She was the youngest daughter of William Andrew and Elva Ora (Johnson) Randolph. She was married to Harry Bougas in Chicago. To that union came a daughter, Cherie Lynn. She later married Charles A. Rash on Dec. 6, 1980. They shared many happy years together until his passing in May of 2006.
Ruby was a member of Star General Baptist Church in Eldorado and was a devout Christian lady. She was very well known for her beautiful and delicious cakes that she baked for many people in the area. She was loved by all whom she came in contact with and will be deeply missed.
She is survived by one daughter, Cherie Lynn (Robin) Davis of Harrisburg; two grandsons, Luke Partain and Kaleb Rudder of Atlanta, Ga.; one great-grandson, Landon Partain and his mother Melissa Lawrence of Atlanta, Ga.; three stepsons, Randall (Carol) Rash of Raleigh, Marvin (Janice) Rash of Eldorado and David (Mary) Rash of Elizabethtown; four stepgrandchildren, Randy (Deanna) Rash of Galatia and their children Randy D. (Reannda) Rash of Raleigh, Ralynne and Ranesah Rash of Galatia, Corey (Andrea) Rash of Mt. Vernon, Ind. and their daughter Isabella, Jennifer (Tony) Lane of Rosiclare and her children Aida and Cazz Rarnard.
Also surviving is one sister, Hattie Travelstead of Greenville, S.C.; two nephews, Mike (Nancy) Travelstead of Mecedonia and Ed Travelstead of Nashville, Tenn.; two nieces, Rebecca (Tom) Blackwell of Simpsonville, S.C. and Joyce Randolph of Mount Vernon.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and four brothers, Edison, Bernard, William and Velmar Randolph; three sisters, Wanda Vogt, Pauline Randolph and Margaret Jedlowski.
Funeral services for Ruby will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 10, 2012, at Star General Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeff Roth, the Rev. Corey Rash and the Rev. Roger Willis officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 9, 2012, at Watson Funeral Home in Eldorado and 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Wolf Creek Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Susan G. Komen for the cure. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Watson Funeral Home in Eldorado is in charge of the arrangements.
