Rosemary Hopson

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Rosemary Hopson, 86, of 365 Oak St., Equality, passed away at 8 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 30, 2009, at Harrisburg Medical Center in Harrisburg. Rosemary resided in the Fountain View Nursing Home in Eldorado for the last six years.

She was born in Ridgway on May 20, 1923, to Joseph George and Delia Mary (Dailey) Wenzel. Rosemary married John Robert Hopson on Nov. 26, 1941, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 26, 1992.

She was a homemaker and also had sold Tupperware for many years in the 1970s and 1980s and was a greeter at the Harrisburg Wal-Mart for 16 years. Rosemary was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Equality.

She is survived by two daughters, Jean Anne and Bruce Coffee of Equality and Julia Hilliger and fiance, Mark Price of Freeport; two sons, Jim and Sharon Hopson of Annandale, Va., and John and Janet Hopson of Equality; one sister, Marian and Bob Bryant of Harrisburg; her brother, Jerry and Sue Wenzel of Junction; nine grandchildren, Jackie Coffee, Angie Hopson, Joe Hopson, Lizzie Hopson, Laura Hopson, Emily Hopson, Alex Hopson, Paul Hilliger and Michael Hilliger; and three great-grandchildren.

Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents; husband; five sisters, Loretta Case, Florence Willis, Kathryn Gross, Ida Swansey and Betty Wenzel; four brothers, Jay Wenzel, Carl Wenzel, Dan Wenzel, and Earl Wenzel; and one grandson, Chris Hopson.

Visitation for Rosemary will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2009, with prayer service 4 p.m. at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Equality. Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2009, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Equality with Father Mark Stec officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery near Equality.
