Mary Kathleen Walls

Mary Kathleen Walls, 81, of Harrisburg, passed away at 11:10 AM, Friday, April 8, 2016 at the Shawnee Rose Care Center.

Mary was born on August 28, 1934 in Saline County to the late Wando and Hazel (Dooley) Rann. In 1979 she married Lawrence Walls and he preceded her in death in 1983. She formerly worked as a Dietician at the A.L. Bowen Center.

Surviving family members include two children: Kathy Newton of Harrisburg and Jack Smiley of Charlotte, NC; four grandchildren: Jeremy, Ben, Kristina and Nathan; give great-grandchildren; sister: Frances Puckett of Harrisburg; one niece and two nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother, Charles "Bill" Rann.

Funeral services for Mary will be at 3 PM, Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. Pastor Robert Murray will officiate. Burial will follow in Cedar Bluff Cemetery.
