David G. Foster

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[David G. Foster, 61, of Carrier Mills, died at 12:36 a.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2011, at Harrisburg Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, April 15. 2011, at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 14, 2011, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery and the Rev. Clifford Clark will officiate. Military rites will be held by the Carrier Mills and Harrisburg American legions and the National Guard Ritual Team.

He was born on May 4, 1949, in Hardin County to the late James Lionel Foster and Alda Mae (Wilbanks) Foster, who survives. He married Cora Mae McDermott on June 28, 1974, and she survives.

He worked as a mechanic and many other things for over 20 years at Rister Brothers Equipment. He was an Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam era.

He is survived by his wife, Cora Mae Foster of Carrier Mills; mother, Alda Harris of Harrisburg; two sons, Don Stewart of Carrier Mills and Bill Foster of Evansville, Ind.; granddaughter, Kirsten Travelstead of Carrier Mills; four brothers, Dan (Cindy) Foster of Boise, Idaho; Peter (Betty) Foster of Brazil, Ind.; Terry Foster and James Harris both of Harrisburg; three sisters, Sue Campbell and Della Roberson, both of Harrisburg, and Darlene McQueen of Cleveland, Ohio; and a special niece, Kassie Lynn Condife.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Lionel Foster; stepfather, Raymond Harris; daughter, Tommie Lynn Stewart; brother, Mike Foster and father- and mother-in-law, Leo and Mary McDermott.

Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
