Mary Lou Cox Cook

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Mary Lou Cox Cook, 83, of Clermont, Fla., formerly of Harrisburg, departed this life on Monday, March 28, 2011, in Louisville, Ky., surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on Jan. 10, 1928, in Marion, a daughter of the late Lloyd T. and Lola M. Cox.

In addition to her parents, Mary Lou was preceded in death by her husband, Vern Kelly; a son, Steven Burkle; and a sister, Marie Golish.

In addition to being a loving sister, aunt, friend, and neighbor, Mary Lou was retired, having worked as assistant administrator of the V.A. Hospital of Atlanta, Ga. She was also of the Pentecostal faith, being a member of the Springs of Life Church, pastored by James Waxler of Clermont, Fla.

She leaves to honor her loving memory and mourn her passing two brothers, Jim (Sue Ella) Cox of Sesser and Jerry (Betty) Cox of Louisville, Ky.; nieces Elizabeth White and her children Jesse, Andrew, Nicholas, and Mike (Danielle); Becky (Kevin) Miller and their children Timothy, and Bethany (Robert) Mocaby; Robin (Booney) Hayes; Kelly (Johnny) Rone; nephew Jerry (Edie) Cox and their children Brian and Jackson Cox. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A graveside/memorial service will be held to honor Mary Lou at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2011, at the Sunset Lawn Cemetery with the Rev. Larry Cook officiating.
